This slim cleaning brush is shaped to reach the parts a sponge or cloth can’t: the impeller blades and the inside of the pump housing where biofilm and detritus build up. On a JUWEL Bioflow system that gunk is exactly what causes flow to drop and the pump to start humming, so a quick monthly scrub of the impeller chamber keeps the Eccoflow running quietly at full rate without you having to replace any parts.

In Singapore’s warm tanks biofilm grows fast, so the housing coats up quicker than it would in cooler climates and a dedicated brush makes the routine painless. We always remind customers to unplug every in-water device before opening the pump, and to brush gently around the ceramic shaft, which can chip if forced. Rinse the impeller and housing in old tank water rather than tap so you keep the beneficial bacteria living on the surfaces alive through the clean.
