Gold Salt™ is designed to provide the optimal environment for all goldfish species. The use of Gold Salt™ also aids in the prevention of nitrite poisoning. The salt is also well suited for routine aquarium freshwater use. It does not impact pH or provide buffering. For pH control use Gold Buffer™. For dechlorination use Gold Basics™. Use 18 g (1 tablespoon) for each 40 L (10 US gallons). Use when setting up an aquarium and when making water changes. To add salt to an established tank, do so gradually. It is best to dissolve the salt in a small amount of freshwater before use. Avoid using salt when replacing evaporated water.
