SUDO E-4SP Dokan Large Ceramic Spawning Pot

The SUDO Dokan is the classic open-ended ceramic tube that pleco and catfish breeders in Singapore reach for, and the E-4 is the large size at 170x110x110mm. Its single open end and snug interior give a male a defensible cave to fan eggs in, which is exactly the kind of confined, dark spawning site Ancistrus and many cory-keepers struggle to provide with natural wood alone. The inert ceramic won’t leach or shift your pH, so it sits neutrally in soft SG tap water.

The smooth glazed bore matters more than it looks: it won’t abrade a fish squeezing in to guard a clutch, and it wipes clean of biofilm between spawns. Sink it fully before adding it so trapped air doesn’t keep it floating, and orient the opening toward a shaded corner away from strong flow. Beyond breeding, shy bottom-dwellers and even shrimp will adopt it as a daytime retreat, which lowers stress and brings timid fish out more confidently come feeding.
