These 10-15cm stones are the detailing grade, perfect for nano tanks, filling between larger feature rocks, and building the smaller ledges that make a scape look natural rather than staged. Volcanic rock stays light for its size, so even a generous handful adds little to floor loading, which keeps nano builds well within the limits of a condo shelf or HDB tabletop. The dark, textured faces give shrimp and small fish welcome cover.

The porous interior colonises with beneficial bacteria, so in our warm 27-29C water these little stones lend a hand to biological filtration alongside your main media. Their rough surfaces hold moss and small epiphytes like Anubias petite and Bucephalandra securely when glued or tied, ideal for shrimp-tank scaping. Rinse them well to remove fine grit before placing, as the smaller pieces shed the most dust.
