Suspending a light over a 5ft tank with the ANS HydroBar M150

The HydroBar M150 is the 150cm stainless-steel hanging bar for a 5ft tank, lifting a pendant or rail fixture clear of the rim for a clean, open-top aquascape. On a tank this size, suspending the light pays off twice over: even spread across a long surface and unobstructed access for trimming, feeding and water changes along the whole length. The stainless construction handles Singapore’s humidity and splash without corroding, and it detaches for transport.

Because a 5ft display draws a lot of light, hanging height becomes your main tuning tool, raising the fixture to even out coverage along the run or lowering it to push par into deeper or more demanding sections. The bar fixes to the back of the cabinet, so confirm the cabinet and fixings can carry the combined weight of bar and light on a large setup. A timer keeps the photoperiod consistent and helps hold algae back in our warm water.
