These long, slim 40-60cm sticks are made for movement and line work. We reach for them when a scape needs implied branches, exposed roots, or a windswept diagonal that draws the eye across the tank. Their slender profile suits taller and longer footprints common in condo display tanks, and several sticks fanned from a single point create the radiating root look that defines many nature-style layouts.

Being natural wood, each stick varies in curve and texture, so dry-fitting your composition before adding water saves rework. Expect some tannin tint and a brief biofilm phase that nerite snails and shrimp will graze off. In our warm rooms the wood waterlogs over a week or two; weigh it down or wedge it under rock until it sinks on its own, then attach moss or Bucephalandra along the length for a softened, mature finish.
