This Japanese-style diffuser is the classic flat-disc design our aquascapers reach for when they want clean, vertical bubble columns rising from a single point. Gas enters the base, spreads across the ceramic membrane and breaks into a fine mist that the 3000 rating suits for tanks up to roughly a mid-size aquascape. We stock it because the Opti glass disappears into a planted layout far better than chunky plastic alternatives.

Position it low and to one side so micro-bubbles travel the full water column before reaching the surface; in our warm 27-29C water, where CO2 off-gasses fast, that extra dwell time meaningfully improves dissolution. New ceramic discs sometimes need a short soak to wet through before they bubble evenly. Expect to bleach-clean the membrane periodically, as biofilm and Singapore tap residue gradually clog the fine pores.
