API® AQUARIUM SALT is made from evaporated sea salt and is a must-have for your aquarium! AQUARIUM SALT promotes fish health by improving gill function, making it easier for fish to breathe. It also provides essential electrolytes that fish need to reach peak coloration and vitality. These electrolytes may be lost each time you perform a partial water change, and will need to be replenished.Use API AQUARIUM SALT in freshwater aquarium tanks when starting a new aquarium, and any time you perform a water change. How to Use API Aquarium Salt in Local Tanks

Made from evaporated sea salt, API Aquarium Salt provides electrolytes that support gill function and help freshwater fish hold strong colour and vitality. Because every water change strips some of these out, many local keepers top up a measured dose with new water in freshwater fish-only tanks. It is also a common, gentle first response to stress and minor ailments, used at the dosing on the pack rather than guessed by eye.

A word of caution we always give: go carefully in planted tanks, as some plants and many invertebrates tolerate salt poorly, so it is best kept to fish-only setups or short, separate treatments. This is not a chloramine remover and does not replace your water conditioner, which Singapore tap water still needs. Dissolve the salt fully in a little tank water before adding it so it does not settle on the substrate.
