Every rock contains a network of micro and macro pores that intertwine within the rocks internal structure creating the perfect environment for natural nitrifying bacteria. LifeRock is manmade and does not affect our natural resources, making it the perfect option for all marine fish, invertebrates, and corals.

Building Reef Structure With CaribSea LifeRock 40lbs in SG

A 40lb box of LifeRock is enough to build the backbone of most nano-to-mid reef tanks, which suits the tank sizes Singapore reefers typically run in HDB and condo spaces. Because it is a man-made aragonite rock rather than wild-harvested live rock, you avoid importing pests, aiptasia, and unwanted hitchhikers, and you get a more environmentally responsible foundation. We like to dry-fit the pieces out of water first to plan an open, stable aquascape with good flow gaps, then secure it with reef-safe epoxy or cyanoacrylate before placing it in the tank. Being dry rock, it needs a proper cycle to mature, so patience here pays off with stable parameters later. Over months it takes on coralline algae and blends into a natural-looking reef.
