This 3W inline UV connects to a pump or external filter so water passes the ultraviolet lamp on its way through, knocking back the free-floating algae and bacteria that cause that pea-soup haze. On smaller tanks and even small ponds, it is a simple, set-and-forget way to keep water visibly clearer.

UV works on what flows through it, so pair it with adequate circulation and let it run continuously to keep ahead of a bloom. It tackles suspended algae and waterborne microbes, but it does not fix the underlying cause, so address excess light, overfeeding or a nutrient imbalance alongside it.
