Description
A glass bubble counter that lets you see and fine-tune your CO2 injection rate bubble-by-bubble, so you can deliver a consistent, precise dose to a planted tank.
Reading Your CO2 Rate With a Glass Bubble Counter
A bubble counter looks like a simple gadget, but it is one of the most useful feedback tools in a planted setup. By watching bubbles per second pass through the water column inside the glass, you get an at-a-glance sense of whether your injection has drifted overnight or after a refill. For local aquascapers running pressurised CO2 on Rotala-heavy layouts, that visual cue is often the first sign something has changed before plants or fish tell you the hard way.
Fill it with water or a touch of mineral oil, mount it inline after your solenoid, and use it together with a drop checker rather than instead of one. The bubble counter shows the rate; the drop checker shows the actual dissolved result. We always remind customers to fit a check valve too, so a power dip during a monsoon outage cannot siphon tank water back toward your regulator.
