SHIRUBA K8000 twin-outlet air pump for fry and hospital tanks

The K8000 is a workhorse for anyone running multiple small tanks, with two outlets and three flow settings that let you tune output across fry boxes, hospital tanks and sponge filters. The adjustable High, Medium and Low rates matter when you want gentle bubbling that won’t toss delicate fry around, yet still need enough drive to run a couple of sponge filters. Its double-shell insulation keeps noise low enough for a bedroom or living-room setup.

In Singapore’s warm 27-29C water, oxygen levels run lower and bacterial demand runs higher, so reliable aeration is doubly important on breeding and quarantine tanks where you cannot afford a crash. We suggest pairing it with an air-tube splitter and check valves so you can feed several tanks safely without backflow. Position the pump above water level, or fit a check valve, to stop a siphon if the power ever cuts.
