Jeneca AS-01 Air Diffuser: Finer Bubbles, Better Oxygen

An air diffuser like the AS-01 breaks the stream from your pump into smaller bubbles, and smaller bubbles dissolve more oxygen as they rise. In Singapore’s warm tanks this is worth doing properly, because at 27-29C water simply holds less oxygen than it does in temperate climates. A fine column of bubbles also creates gentle surface movement, which is where most gas exchange actually happens, helping your fish and beneficial bacteria stay healthy.

It works in both freshwater and marine setups, so you can move it between a planted tank and a quarantine tub as needed. We like it on aquascapes where a curtain of bubbles adds visual interest in the evening, and in breeding or grow-out tanks where a sponge filter benefits from steady airflow. Position it low in the tank so bubbles travel the full water height before reaching the surface.
