ANS Silicon Air Tube 5m for a Single Tank Setup

The 5m length is the sensible buy when you just need to connect one air pump to a sponge filter, air stone or CO2 diffuser on a single aquarium. It is enough to route the line neatly behind a cabinet and still leave slack, without paying for a 100m roll you will never finish. Soft silicone slips onto barbs and check valves without a fight and stays pliable rather than going stiff and brittle.

For most home tanks the reason to add air is oxygen, and that matters here: our 27-29C water holds less dissolved oxygen than cooler climates, so a gentle stream of bubbles overnight is cheap insurance against fish gasping at dawn after the plants have stopped photosynthesising. Always fit a check valve on the line and keep the pump above the waterline, so a monsoon power cut does not back-siphon tank water onto your floor.
