APT FixLite is the gentler member of the algae-treatment family, formulated for tanks holding mosses, liverworts like Riccardia and Riccia, Vallisneria, and other delicate plants that harsher algae products can damage. We recommend it to aquascapers who’ve found standard liquid-carbon treatments melt their sensitive species, since FixLite lets you spot-dose problem spots while keeping fragile plants intact. It biodegrades completely, so it doesn’t linger in the water column.

Spot-dosing is the key technique here: the included calibrated pipette lets you target algae directly on hardscape or leaves rather than dosing the whole tank blindly. In Singapore’s warm, bright conditions, algae can take hold fast on a moss wall or carpet, so catching it early with precise dosing usually beats a heavy whole-tank treatment. Keep filtration and flow steady so the active ingredient distributes and breaks down as intended.
