Conexo from JUWEL is an extremely strong adhesive hybrid sealant, which was specially developed for the bonding of plastics with glass. Conexo can also be used on a wet background and even underwater.

When to reach for JUWEL Conexo adhesive

Conexo earns its place because it bonds plastic to glass and cures even on a wet surface or fully underwater, which removes the usual headache of draining a running tank just to fix a loose part. We use it most for mounting 3D backgrounds and locking JUWEL skimmers and filters in place, but it’s equally handy for re-securing decor or a panel edge that has lifted over time without tearing down the whole layout.

In Singapore’s warm, humid conditions a panel that pops loose at one corner quickly becomes a debris trap, so a hybrid sealant that actually grips wet glass is worth having on the shelf. Work it onto a clean surface, press firmly, and give it the recommended cure time before water flow stresses the joint. Note this is a structural adhesive, not a glass-to-glass tank-seam silicone, so use it for its intended bonding jobs rather than as a substitute for proper aquarium-safe sealant on load-bearing seams.
