ANS Brine Shrimp Eggs (50g/425g) for Raising Fry in SG

Freshly hatched baby brine shrimp are about the best first food you can offer, and these eggs are the starting point: hatch them yourself and the wriggling, protein-rich nauplii trigger a strong feeding response in fry from tetras, rasboras, danios, apistos, rams, angelfish and livebearers. With a high hatch rate, a small scoop of eggs yields plenty of live food, which is far more nutritious for growing fry than dry powders alone.

Hatch in salted water with steady aeration; in our warm 27-29C climate the cysts pop quickly, often within a day, so plan harvests around your fry’s feeding schedule. Keep the unhatched eggs frozen between uses, as our heat and humidity will otherwise degrade viability fast. Rinse the harvested nauplii in fresh water before feeding to avoid carrying excess salt into a soft, freshwater fry tank.

Feed small amounts several times a day and siphon leftovers to protect water quality. Explore our baby food range, and our brine shrimp hatching guide and fry food progression guide map out feeding through the first month.
