How To Safely Add Fish To Tank

1. Set live stock aside with transportation bag in room temperature place for 30 minutes.
2. Then transfer bag to float in aquarium for another 30 minutes
3. Use a fish net to transfer the live stock by scooping it from the bag into the tank.

Note: Do not release live stocks together with the transportation water into tank.

Keeping the Loxozonus Cory in Singapore Aquariums

Corydoras loxozonus is a peaceful, sociable bottom-dweller best kept in a group of six or more so it shoals confidently and forages out in the open. Like all Cory cats it does its best work cruising the substrate for leftover food, but it should never be treated as a clean-up crew that survives on scraps; it needs its own sinking pellets and the occasional frozen feed. A soft sand or smooth fine-gravel bed protects its delicate barbels from wear and infection.

Our ambient 27-29C suits this species well, so most Singapore tanks run it without a heater. Local tap water tends soft and slightly acidic once dechlorinated, which Corydoras generally appreciate. Keep the substrate clean and the water well oxygenated, since warm water holds less dissolved oxygen and these fish do gulp air at the surface. Quarantine new arrivals before adding them to an established display.
