Skunk Cory Care in Singapore Aquariums
The Skunk Cory is a small, peaceful Corydoras named for the dark stripe running along its back. Like all corys it is a sociable bottom-dweller that should be kept in a group of six or more, where it stays active and confident. They constantly sift the substrate for food, so a soft sand bed protects their delicate barbels far better than sharp gravel. A gentle, well-oxygenated current keeps them content along the tank floor.
Singapore’s ambient 27-29C sits within their comfortable range, so most keepers run them heaterless. They like soft, slightly acidic water, which our conditioned tap delivers nicely. Feed sinking wafers, frozen bloodworm and the occasional blanched vegetable, and never assume they survive on leftovers alone. Watch barbel health closely, as eroded barbels are usually a sign of a dirty or coarse substrate that needs cleaning.
