How To Safely Add Fish To Tank
- Set live stock aside with transportation bag in room temperature place for 30 minutes.
- Then transfer bag to float in aquarium for another 30 minutes
- Use a fish net to transfer the live stock by scooping it from the bag into the tank.
Note: Do not release live stocks together with the transportation water into tank.
Keeping Sodalis Cory in Singapore Tanks
The Sodalis Cory is one of the quieter, more rewarding bottom dwellers we stock for Singapore community tanks. Like most Corydoras, it does best in a small group of six or more, where the fish sift sand together and stay confident out in the open. A soft, smooth-grain substrate matters here: sharp gravel wears down their delicate barbels over time, leaving them unable to forage properly and prone to infection.
Our local tap water suits them well once treated, sitting on the soft, slightly acidic side they prefer. Singapore’s ambient 27-29C is comfortable for this species, so most keepers run them without a heater, though steady temperature matters more than the exact number. Feed sinking pellets and occasional frozen bloodworm at lights-out, since the fish that look full at the surface have usually missed their share at the bottom.
