Choosing the ANS Customize AluStand for a Singapore setup
An aluminium stand earns its keep in our climate. Between high year-round humidity, condensation under the tank and the occasional balcony rain blowing in, wooden stands swell and steel ones rust at the welds. The AluStand sidesteps both, which is why we recommend it for balcony ponds, service-rack builds and anywhere a cabinet would slowly degrade. A filled aquarium is heavy, so loading still matters even with a strong frame. Spread that weight correctly: confirm the stand footprint suits your tank, keep the legs over the slab rather than mid-span, and shim until the top is dead level so glass loads evenly. For larger tanks in flats, factor floor loading into where you place it. Aluminium also makes the whole stand light enough to reposition during a deep clean.
