Sizing the ANS Zen 60x30x80cm Cabinet for Your Tank

The 60cm Zen cabinet is the workhorse size we recommend most often to Singapore aquascapers, because a standard 60cm (2-foot) tank is the sweet spot for a first proper planted layout. The 30cm depth keeps it shallow enough to pass through HDB doorways and sit flush against a wall, while the internal cavity swallows a canister filter, CO2 cylinder and dosing bottles out of sight, keeping the front of your scape clean.

A filled 60x30cm tank with substrate and hardscape typically lands somewhere around 80kg, so the cabinet’s metal-studded joints and sturdy frame earn their keep. We always level the unit first on our hard tiled floors, since an out-of-level base concentrates stress on one corner of the glass. In our climate the laminate finish handles bathroom-like humidity well, but keep the interior ventilated to avoid trapped moisture around stored equipment.
