This black HRG-1000 set pairs the 191-litre metre tank with its matching cabinet, giving you a finished furniture piece rather than a bare aquarium on a makeshift stand. The integrated light and two-chamber overhead filter mean it works straight away, while the enclosed cabinet hides buckets, conditioner and spare media. The ventilation slits help the top filter section breathe so heat does not build up inside the canopy.

A full metre tank on a loaded cabinet is genuinely heavy once gravel, hardscape and water go in, so site it against a structural wall in your HDB or condo and check the floor is level. In Singapore’s 27-29C ambient, most community and planted setups run without a heater; only cooler-water species need a chiller. Always condition our chloraminated tap water before it goes in, and rinse new substrate well to limit early cloudiness.
