Description

This is a scraper to remove algae on the aquarium glass surface. Its handle can be extended with an optional Extender for the use in a large size tank. Also, Pro Razor Mini is for small tank and narrow space of aquarium. The replacement of blade is necessary once it is getting hard to remove algae.

Keeping glass clear with the ADA Pro Razor

The Pro Razor is the scraper we reach for when green spot or stubborn film algae has cemented itself to the tank glass and a magnet just smears it. Its replaceable blade shears growth cleanly off the pane, and the handle accepts an optional Extender so you can reach the bottom of a tall tank without soaking your sleeve. For deep SG display tanks where arm length runs out fast, that reach makes a real difference to a quick maintenance round.

In our warm climate algae returns quickly, so a sharp blade is your friend; once it starts dragging rather than cutting, swap it out, as a dull edge is what scratches glass. We always remind customers that razor scrapers are for glass only, never acrylic, which they will mark. Angle the blade low and steady, and keep it well clear of silicone seams in the corners.
