The Sand Flattener is a simple but satisfying tool for levelling and tidying substrate, both during a fresh setup and after a water change has stirred the surface. Singapore hobbyists doing frequent water changes in our warm tanks know how easily a sand foreground or aquasoil slope gets disturbed, and this tool restores that crisp, intentional finish. The two ends, one larger and one smaller, let you work both open expanses and tight pockets between stones.

Use the broad end to sweep a sand foreground flat and the small end to neaten the substrate right up against hardscape and glass. Light, level passes are all it takes, and it doubles for shaping gentle terraces during a new scape. Rinse and dry it after use like any steel tool, since our humidity will spot bare metal left damp in a maintenance drawer.
