ANS Betta Net Scoop for Gentle Fish Handling in SG Tanks

This 7.5×7.5cm scoop on a 20cm handle is designed to lift a betta together with some water rather than dragging it through air, which dramatically lowers the stress of moving show fish or fragile long-finned varieties. The soft, flexible mesh bends to fit narrow jars and competition tanks, so you can manoeuvre into corners without pinning the fish against glass. The reversible black-and-silver panels also help you sight pale or dark fish against different backgrounds.

Fin damage is the main risk when relocating bettas, and a fine soft net like this avoids the snags that coarse nets cause on trailing finnage. We find it equally handy for scooping small community fish, fry being graded, or shrimp during a rescape. After use, rinse in treated water and air-dry to keep the mesh from harbouring bacteria between tanks.
