ANS Magic Foam B5 for Quick Algae Touch-Ups

At 10x6x2cm this little foam pad is the tool we keep within arm’s reach for between-water-change tidying. It handles the soft green film and hazy water-line residue that builds on glass faster in our warm, bright SG tanks, lifting it with light pressure rather than the aggressive scraping a blade demands. Because it is foam rather than metal, it is friendlier to acrylic and to silicone seams in the corners where a hard scraper can nick.

We treat it as a spot tool rather than a deep-clean fix. Wet it, wipe the affected pane, and rinse it out in a bucket of tank water as you go so you are not pushing algae spores back around.
