ANS Water Reducer Connectors (Straight and T, Various Sizes)

Aquarium plumbing rarely uses one tubing size end to end, and the ANS Water Reducer range bridges the gaps. The straight reducers step between 9/12, 9/16, 12/16, 16/20 and 20/25mm, while the T reducers branch a line at 12/16, 12/20 and 16/20mm. This lets you connect a filter outlet of one diameter to hose or accessories of another without forcing mismatched parts together, which is common when mixing brands of equipment in a Singapore setup.

The T reducers are especially useful for splitting flow, say feeding a spray bar and a second outlet from one return, or teeing in a drain on a water change line. We suggest planning your full run first so you buy the right reducers in one go, then matching each fitting precisely to the two bores it joins. Clamp any reduced joint that sits hidden in a cabinet, since the step in diameter is a natural place for a slow leak to start.
