How do you clean the fish catching box?

The fish catching box is easy to clean of impurities using lukewarm water and a soft cloth/sponge (e.g. the JBL WishWash). Sharp cleaners or a dishwasher are not recommended as these can cause damage to the plastic.

JBL Fish Handling Cup for Stress-Free Catching

The handling cup is a clear acrylic box on a handle that takes the panic out of catching fish. Instead of chasing a fish into a net, which crushes fins and strips slime coat, you guide it into the cup and lift it out in a pocket of water. It clips onto the tank rim in two positions, so you can leave it sitting in place while a wary fish settles and swims in on its own.

At 200 by 120 by 120mm it suits most community fish in the size of tanks we see in HDB and condo homes, and the transparent build lets you watch what you’re doing. We find it especially useful for fish that bruise easily or carry long fins, and for moving stock during rescapes without the usual stress.
