UP E-008 Stainless Cleaning Brush Kit

This stainless brush set covers the awkward jobs a sponge can’t reach: the insides of filter pipes, lily pipes, spray bars, hoses and pump intakes. The kit includes four sizes, from a slim 10mm x 92mm brush up to a long 20mm x 330mm one, so you can scrub narrow tubes and long inlet pipes alike. Keeping these passages clear is what stops flow from slowly dropping off and detritus from building up where you can’t see it.

This matters more in Singapore than many keepers realise. Our warm 27-29C water and high humidity speed up the growth of biofilm and brown gunk inside hoses and glass pipes, which quietly chokes flow and starves your filter media of oxygen. Working a brush through your intake and outflow pipes every month or two keeps turnover strong. Rinse the brushes after use and dry them so they don’t rust, and clean over a bucket rather than the sink.
