Stepping up to the 40Ø Beetle suits the 90 to 120cm planted tanks that ambitious Singapore aquascapers build once they have the bench space. The larger ceramic plate produces more fine mist to feed the bigger water volume and denser plant mass these scapes carry. Its corner-sitting design keeps it tucked away, and on a longer tank you can deploy a second unit in another corner to spread CO2 more evenly across the layout rather than relying on a single point source.

A bigger diffuser still needs the same care: ceramic plates accumulate biofilm and limescale, which builds fast in our warm rooms, so periodic cleaning restores the fine bubble pattern. We always pair a diffuser with a check valve to protect the regulator and a drop checker to confirm a safe, stable level. Handle the glass carefully, especially when prising it loose for a soak.
