Running the ANS Inline Bubble Counter on a Singapore planted tank

An inline bubble counter sits on the pressurised line between your regulator and atomiser rather than hanging off the cylinder, so it disappears behind the cabinet and keeps your aquascape clean. We fit these on canister-fed setups where the CO2 line tees into the return; the visible bubble stream lets you dial in an exact, repeatable rate every morning without guessing. The clear chamber also makes it obvious at a glance whether your solenoid actually fired when the timer kicked in.

Fill it with plain distilled or RO water rather than oil, and keep the body upright so bubbles read cleanly. In our warm 27-29C tap water, CO2 dissolves readily but also off-gasses faster through soft, agitated surfaces, so most planted tanks here run a slightly higher bubble count than temperate guides suggest. Always pair an inline counter with a check valve so a power dip during a monsoon outage cannot siphon tank water back toward your regulator.
