AF Ca Plus 200ml

Highly concentrated formula for raising calcium levels in marine aquariums. Ca Plus was created for maintaining shortages and sudden drops of calcium levels. Due to the most assimilable form it ensures easy raising of calcium levels in the aquarium. Calcium is necessary for corals to grow and its deficiencies may result in significant inhibition or stoppage of growth. Ca Plus supports calcification and provides corals healthy growth. The effectiveness of Ca Plus supplementation depends on the proper KH level, therefore it is recommended to use products that raise carbonate hardness (KH Plus or KH Buffer).Dosage: 10 ml of Ca Plus raises the calcium level by 15 mg/l (ppm) in 100 l (27 US gal) of water. Maximum daily dose is 20 ml of Ca Plus per 100 l (27 US gal) of water. Recommended calcium level in reef aquarium is 380-460/l (ppm). Please ensure your magnesium level is within the recommended range before attempting to raise or adjust your calcium and alkalinity levels. Contains CaCl2 causes serious eye irritation. Keep out of reach of children. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses if present, continue rinsing. Raising calcium with AF Ca Plus in your reef

Calcium is the backbone of coral growth, and a tank stocked with hungry SPS can pull it down faster than a beginner expects. AF Ca Plus is a concentrated 200ml solution we recommend for correcting sudden drops or topping up a system before you move onto a full Balling routine. Because it is highly assimilable, a little goes a long way, which makes it practical for the smaller nano and mid-sized reefs common in Singapore homes.

The one thing we always flag at the counter is that calcium does not work in isolation. Its uptake depends on stable carbonate hardness, so dosing Ca Plus without keeping KH in range gives disappointing results and can even cause precipitation. We tell customers to balance calcium, alkalinity and magnesium together, testing regularly rather than chasing one number while the others drift.
