Furan plus can be used to treat :
-Cloudy eyes and body slime or fungus
-Open wounds such as red sores, bites,ulcers

Directions:
-Remove activated carbon during treatment
-For best results, treat for period of 5-7 days. Add medication on day 1, day 3 and day 5. we recommend a 25% water change before adding medication

Using EIHO Furan Plus for bacterial infections in SG tanks

Furan Plus is a nitrofurazone-based treatment we recommend for the bacterial problems that tend to follow stress or injury, things like cloudy eyes, body slime or fungus, open red sores, bites and ulcers, fin and tail rot, and mild dropsy. Because it works against both gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, it’s a useful broad option when you’re not certain which strain is behind the symptoms, and it acts quickly when dosed early in an outbreak.

As the directions note, remove activated carbon before treating so it doesn’t absorb the medication, and keep aeration strong since our warm 27-29C water already holds less dissolved oxygen and sick fish are most vulnerable to low oxygen. We’d suggest treating in a separate hospital tank where you can complete the course without staining a planted display or affecting shrimp, and always correcting the water quality or handling stress that triggered the infection in the first place.
