Description
Do you have BBA algae in your planted aquarium? Commonly known as black beard algae, this type of algae typically appears when maintenance is not consistent or thorough enough. Black beard algae attaches and grows on hardscape and can also be found on the leaf edges of slow-growing aquarium plants.
Notorious for being one of the most difficult algae to deal with, SL Aqua Z3 BBA Remover aims to eradicate it! This product contains a special formula that works to slow down reproduction and kill spores to eventually remove BBA effectively over time. SL Aqua Z3 BBA Remover will also help with filamentous, blue and brown algae strain removal as well.
Pair this product with a consistent maintenance routine and algae problems will be a thing of the past. SL Aqua’s Z3 BBA Remover is safe for freshwater applications and will not harm aquarium plants or fish if dosage instructions are followed.

Using SL Aqua Z-3 BBA Remover in Singapore planted tanks
Black beard algae is the bane of many planted-tank keepers, and it loves the conditions a busy Singapore tank can drift into: inconsistent maintenance, fluctuating CO2 and patchy flow. Z-3 is a spot treatment that works on the algae over time, slowing its reproduction and killing spores rather than promising an overnight fix. We are honest with customers that no bottle replaces sorting out the underlying causes, but it is a useful tool to knock back established tufts.
Use it as directed on the affected hardscape and slow-growing leaf edges where BBA clings, and expect the treated growth to redden and die back gradually before you can remove it. Pair it with steadier CO2, good circulation and consistent water changes so the regrowth has nothing to feed on. Dose carefully in shrimp tanks and watch your livestock, as with any algae treatment.
