CaribSea LifeRock is made of an aragonitic base rock, instead of the typical cement used by many other artificial rock creators. Every rock contains a network of micro and macro pores that intertwine within the rocks internal structure creating the perfect environment for natural nitrifying bacteria. LifeRock is manmade and does not affect our natural resources, making it the perfect option for all marine fish, invertebrates, and corals.

These two LifeRock Shroom pieces are sized as standalone feature rocks, which makes them genuinely handy for the small reef tanks Singapore hobbyists tend to keep at home. Their mushroom-cap shape creates overhangs and shaded pockets that mushrooms, zoas, and other low-light softies love, so you can build interesting placement zones without committing to a large rock structure. In a nano or AIO they let you add height and texture while keeping the open footprint that small tanks need.
As aragonite-based, man-made rock seeded for biological performance, they avoid the pests and aiptasia that wild live rock can introduce, and their porous bodies host nitrifying bacteria. Being dry rock, they should go through a proper cycle to mature, after which they pick up coralline and blend into the scape. We suggest bonding them to your main structure or the base with reef-safe glue so they sit securely under flow.
