CaribSea LifeRock is made of an aragonitic base rock, instead of the typical cement used by many other artificial rock creators. Every rock contains a network of micro and macro pores that intertwine within the rocks internal structure creating the perfect environment for natural nitrifying bacteria. LifeRock is manmade and does not affect our natural resources, making it the perfect option for all marine fish, invertebrates, and corals.

The Nano Arches are sized specifically for small tanks, which is exactly why we recommend them so often to Singapore reefers working within an HDB or condo footprint. Each arch adds a three-dimensional opening to your aquascape, letting you build caves, overhangs, and swim-throughs without crowding the tank or choking off circulation. Four pieces give you enough flexibility to create a layered, natural-looking structure even in a nano or AIO build.

As aragonite-based, man-made rock seeded for biological performance, the arches avoid the hitchhiker pests of wild live rock while still hosting nitrifying bacteria in their porous bodies. We like to dry-fit them first and bond with reef-safe epoxy or glue so the openings stay put under flow. Being dry rock, give them a proper cycle to mature, after which coralline algae creeps in and softens the look.
