The RQ2304 Resin Wooden Log, a Larger Branch

The RQ2304 is a chunkier log at roughly 28 by 13 by 9cm, giving you a substantial branch form for mid-size and larger tanks. We recommend it where a slim resin twig would look lost: in a 60cm community tank it creates a real focal ridge that fish can swim over and under. Being resin, it skips the tannin staining and weeks of waterlogging that fresh driftwood demands in our local setups, so the look is immediate.

The arched profile and crevices make excellent shaded territory for bottom dwellers and a spawning surface for species that like a vertical face. Rinse it in treated water before it goes in, since our chloraminated tap supply leaves a film. Bed one end into the substrate and let the other rise, so it reads as a fallen branch caught on the bottom rather than an object dropped in from above.
