The RQ2361 Pineapple Cave for Betta and Shrimp Tanks

A pineapple cave is a small-tank favourite for good reason: at 14x10x11cm it gives a single betta or a shrimp colony a snug, enclosed hideout without taking over a nano tank. Bettas in particular like a defined cave to rest in and claim as territory, and shrimp use the shaded interior as a moulting refuge where they are safest. The hand-painted resin holds its cheerful colour well under aquarium lighting too.

Rinse it under running water before use and avoid soap completely. Being inert aquarium-safe resin, it will not alter your soft, slightly acidic local tap water or pose any harm to delicate shrimp or a betta’s fine fins, which is exactly what you want in a small, sensitive setup. We suggest placing it so the cave mouth faces an open swimming lane rather than a wall, making it easy for the occupant to slip in and out and to feel secure rather than cornered.
