SUDO S-892 Shrimp Play Mini Cube for Nano Shrimp Tanks

This little ceramic cube is purpose-built for shrimp, giving a colony extra surface area to graze and a sheltered spot to hide during moults. The porous ceramic quickly grows a film of biofilm and microfauna, which is exactly the grazing surface neocaridina and caridina shrimp pick at all day. The compact 63mm footprint suits the small nano tanks most of us run in flats where space is tight.

Because it is fired ceramic, it stays completely inert and will not nudge your parameters, an important detail for shrimp that are sensitive to swings. Newly moulted shrimp are soft and vulnerable, so the enclosed cube gives them a safe place to harden up away from tank mates. We like stacking two or three to build a little rubble pile that multiplies the hiding spots and surface area.
