SUDO S-896 Trunk Decoration as a Hide and Spawning Spot

The S-896 is a resin trunk piece with 3D bark texturing that doubles as a hiding and breeding cave. Its realistic finish blends into natural and biotope layouts far better than an obvious plastic ornament, and the hollow body gives shy fish, plecos and even turtles a shaded retreat. SUDO finishes these without sharp edges, so there is no risk of torn fins as fish dart in and out.

The resin is inert and safe for aquatic species, so it will not shift your pH or leach into the soft water we get from local taps. Give it a rinse, then bed the base into the substrate so it sits solid. At around 150mm it works as a centrepiece in mid-sized tanks, and we often lean it against driftwood and stone to build a convincing shaded corner that fish quickly adopt.
