Zhen De Broken Tree Trunk 8886 for Naturalistic Tanks

The Broken Tree Trunk 8886 mimics a hollow, weathered log, and that shape pulls double duty as both decor and a genuine refuge. Bottom-dwellers such as bristlenose plecos, kuhli loaches and corydoras will claim the hollow interior, and a betta will happily rest inside it too. The bark-textured casting reads convincingly alongside real driftwood, so it slots into the natural-style tanks a lot of SG hobbyists are moving toward.

Cast in inert resin, it will not soften, leach or shift your parameters in our warm, soft, slightly acidic tap water once dechlorinated. Rinse it before placement and seat the base into substrate so foraging fish cannot tip it. Unlike real wood it will not leach tannins or tint your water, which keeps a crystal-clear display, though you can wedge anubias or moss into the bark for a more grown-in, biotope feel.
