Zhen De Turtle Cave 405L for Larger Terrapin Setups

This is the largest of the 405 turtle caves we stock, and the extra footprint matters once your terrapin outgrows hatchling size. The hollow, rock-textured shell gives a red-eared slider or Reeves turtle a shaded retreat to escape constant light, which is something many SG keepers overlook in bright, glass-fronted tanks near windows. It also doubles as cover for tank mates in mixed setups, breaking sightlines so animals are not always on edge.

Solid resin sinks readily and stays put under an active turtle, and it will not soften or discolour in our warm year-round water. Turtles are messy feeders, so rinse the cave during water changes to clear trapped debris, and leave clearance around it for your filter intake. Place it slightly off-centre rather than dead middle to keep an open swimming lane and an easy run to the basking area.
