SUNSUN HW canister filters for 2ft to 4ft SG aquariums

The HW range spans the HW-702A through the larger 4ft-capable models, with built-in motors and a manual priming pump that takes the siphon-starting fuss out of setup. Its four-layer media basket lets you stack mechanical, biological and chemical media in the right order, which is exactly what a well-cycled tank needs in our warm 27-29C climate where biological filtration has to keep pace with a faster metabolism and heavier feeding. We match the model to tank length so flow turns the water over enough times per hour.

For Singapore keepers, a canister’s enclosed body is an advantage: it keeps the heat-adding motor and the bulk of media out of the display, and it runs quietly enough for a living-room tank. We rinse mechanical layers in old tank water to protect the bacteria, and we keep the priming pump and seals clean so restarts after a power outage are painless.
