Odyssea FP-03 Nitrate Wool: Cut-to-Fit Polishing Media

This Odyssea filter wool is the workhorse mechanical layer that catches the fine particulate clouding many Singapore tanks. At a generous 25 x 45cm, you cut it to fit a top filter tray, canister basket or sump, packing it as the final polishing stage so cleaner water returns to the tank. In our warm conditions, where fine detritus accumulates fast, a fresh wool layer makes a visible difference to clarity within hours of installation.

Treat it as a consumable rather than something to rinse endlessly. Once it loads with mulm it restricts flow and starts shedding trapped waste back into the water column, so we replace ours regularly rather than fight to clean it. Used over your biological media, the wool protects the bio stage from clogging and lets your beneficial bacteria do their job processing ammonia and nitrite undisturbed.
