Replacement filter inserts for your UP AQUA SF hang-on filter

These D-SF-F cartridge inserts are the consumable side of owning an UP AQUA slim hang-on filter, and we keep them in stock so you are never stuck running a clogged pad. The FS size suits the D-SF-120, while the larger FL fits the D-SF-230, D-SF-500 and A-061. Each insert combines floss for trapping particles with activated carbon that lifts tint and odour, leaving water clearer in display tanks.

In Singapore’s warm tanks, organic waste breaks down quickly, so we suggest checking these inserts roughly every two to four weeks and rinsing the floss in old tank water before it chokes the flow. Carbon exhausts faster here too. One practical tip: do not swap every insert at once if it also carries your beneficial bacteria, stagger replacements so you never strip your biological filtration and trigger a mini-cycle that stresses fish.
