ANS Inlet Sponge 2pcs/Pack (S/M) for SG Filter Intakes

These inlet sponges slip over your filter or powerhead intake to act as a pre-filter, and they are one of the most useful small upgrades we suggest to shrimp keepers and breeders. The foam stops fry, baby shrimp and curious small fish from being sucked into the intake while catching coarse debris before it reaches your media. Coming two to a pack in S and M, you get a spare to rotate so cleaning never means running the filter unguarded.

In Singapore’s warm, fast-cycling tanks the sponge surface quickly colonises with beneficial bacteria, adding handy biological capacity on top of its mechanical role. That said, the foam clogs faster here because of brisk biological activity, so we recommend a gentle squeeze in old tank water during each water change to keep flow up without killing the bacterial colony. Slide it fully onto the intake so nothing can bypass the guard.
