This compact shield, measuring roughly L8 x W2.5cm, fits over 13mm and 17mm intake pipes to keep baby shrimp and small invertebrates out of your filter. In a breeding tank, the first weeks of a shrimplet’s life are when losses to the impeller add up, and a fine guard on the inlet is the simplest insurance against watching a generation disappear into the canister.
