The Power Filter is designed to provide maximum surface area and optimum dwell times in all stages of the filtration process.
Rigorous 2-stage mechanical filtration is performed by a thick layer of poly/foam that effectively traps large and fine debris. The foam slides out easily for quick cleaning. Activated carbon, located in an easily-manageable and removable basket, performs thorough chemical filtration and effectively removes toxins.
In the final two stages, a Bio-Screen pad provides massive biological surface area for friendly bacteria to colonize, plus it blocks debris from entering a trickle chamber filled with C-Nodes that are super-charged for fast and efficient nitrification. The result is clean, clear and healthy water for aquarium life to thrive in.

Fluval C Series Power Filter for Singapore Tanks

The Fluval C Series Power Filter packs five stages of filtration into a hang-on-back unit, making it a strong choice when you want canister-style thoroughness without a canister’s footprint. We recommend it for keepers in compact homes who need real mechanical, chemical and biological filtration but cannot give up cabinet space underneath. The slide-out poly/foam handles debris, the carbon basket polishes the water, and the bio-screen drip stage keeps your beneficial bacteria oxygenated.

Hang-on-back units suit Singapore living well: they hang off the rim, leaving floor and cabinet space free, and they are quick to service during routine maintenance. Our warm water means the unit runs continuously, so rinse the foam and bio-screen in old tank water rather than chloraminated tap to protect the bacterial colony. After a monsoon-season outage, make sure the filter re-primes and the trickle stage stays wet so filtration resumes cleanly.
