FiltoSmart – External Filter
FiltoSmart are entry-level filters for small to medium-sized aquariums up to 60 to 200 litres with medium fish stock depending on the models. It has a high filter volume and a lot of space in the tank, thanks to the full power of an external filter. Filter media can be simply removed from the FiltoSmart and rinsed in warm water or replaced as needed.

OASE FiltoSmart for Small Singapore Aquariums

The FiltoSmart range gives nano and small tank keepers a true external canister without the bulk usually associated with one. For HDB and condo hobbyists running a 30 to 60 litre planted tank on a sideboard, the appeal is obvious: all the media and plumbing live in the cabinet below, freeing up swimming space and keeping the tank looking clean. We often recommend the smaller 60 and 100 models for shrimp tanks and betta scapes where a bulky filter would dominate the view.

An external canister also buys you flexibility on media. You can run mechanical sponge, biological media, and a polishing layer in sequence, which matters in our soft chloraminated tap water where stable biology keeps parameters steady between water changes. The self-venting priming makes restarts after a maintenance session painless, and because the motor sits below the tank, noise stays low for living rooms and bedrooms.
